Nada Govedarica is an Associate in the Employment law team in Melbourne.

Nada focuses on a wide range of employment-related issues, including dismissal related disputes, discrimination and safety matters, advising both employers and employees. She acts predominantly for large and medium-sized organisations from a range of different industries, including State, Federal and Territory governments, local councils and public-owned entities.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Nada worked as an Associate to his Honour Judge Forbes at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, where she gained a unique insight into the court system and a first-hand experience into the administration of justice.

Work highlights

  • Assisted in the preparation of legal judgment Alvarez Nino v Kuksal [2022] FedCFamC2G 401, where Forbes J found that the court has jurisdiction to make compensatory orders against an accessory in a small claim proceeding, contrary to earlier authority.
